How does SmoothEye work?
SmoothEye non-surgical blepharoplasty uses the unique SMOOTH® Photonin laser mode, which gently heats the skin around the delicate eye area. This stimulates collagen productionwhich over time smooths and brightens the appearance of the eyes.
In addition, this procedure tones existing collagen and elastin fibresto instantly tighten the skin around the eyes. The skin around the eyes starts to feel tighter a few days later and improves over several weeks.
SmoothEye™ therapy is best performed once a month, for a total of 3-5 visits, to achieve optimal results.
Procedure
SmoothEye therapy starts with the application of a numbing cream around the eyes. You will also need to wear protective eyewear. The technician directs the laser light into the eye area in the form of intense pulses at a controlled temperature.
The deep skin tissue is heated to a temperature of 42-45 °C. does not damage your skin or cause pain. The heat level is maintained for a short time. Collagen contraction and fibroblast simulation take a few minutes for the skin to begin to tighten.
You may feel a sensation of warmth, like a mild sunburn. However, the process is comfortable as the device prevents heat build-up on the surface of the skin. The whole treatment takes about 20-30 minutes, and there is no need for almost zero recovery time.

Results
For some clients improvement is noticeable immediately or after one week due to the stretching of existing collagen.
The second phase of improvement lasts from 4 to 8 weeks, during which time new collagen starts to be produced, which is the more important result.
With additional treatments, the results will continue to improve, and even after the series of treatments is complete, you can expect to continue to feel the collagen and elastin replenishment up to 9 months, steady improvements are observed.
Remember that SmoothEye stimulates your body's natural ability to produce collagen and elastin. Therefore, the time it takes to see visible results may vary.

How many therapies do I need?
It usually takes 4 to 6 treatments, 4 weeks apart, to produce the best result.
Depending on your goals, lifestyle, health and skin type, maintenance treatments may be only once a year. The charm of this therapy is that the time needed for recovery is very short or non-existent.
To maintain results, we usually advise maintenance treatments approximately every 12-18 months.
How long does it take to recover?
No recovery is required after the Fotona SmoothEye treatment, so you can resume your daily activities immediately.
There may be slight redness, swelling and scaling in the eye area: this is normal and will subside within a few days.
You should avoid exposure to strong sunlight for two days after the Fotona SmoothEye treatment. During this time, sunscreen is essential and we recommend that you apply an SPF product to the treated area daily.
Does therapy hurt?
SmoothEye causes minimal discomfort to patients as it is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure.
Patients usually experience a warming sensation during the treatment, which should not be painful due to the non-ablative nature of the treatment.
We will also apply a numbing cream to the skin to make the treatment more bearable.
Are the results sustainable?
SmothEye does not require surgery, so its effects are temporary.
We find that the Smooth Eye procedure has an average result lasting two years, although this depends on a number of variables, including the person's diet and the number of treatments they have had.
If you wish, regular maintenance therapies can ensure, for longer-lasting results.
