Maja Berčič

qualified physiotherapist

Maja Berčič is a young and energetic physiotherapist who carries out her work with great dedication and professionalism. Her undergraduate studies have given her a solid knowledge base, which she regularly improves by attending professional seminars and training courses. She specialises in rehabilitation after musculoskeletal injuries and surgical procedures. Her work is based on a holistic approach, paying attention to both the physical and psychological state of the individual.

She started gaining experience during her studies, when she provided individual physiotherapy treatments and sports massages in fitness centres. She also became a licensed personal trainer, which helped her to further develop her skills in designing therapeutic exercise programmes.

She completed her internship at the UKC Ljubljana and subsequently took up a job there, where she furthered her knowledge in the field of physiotherapy through continuous training in manual therapy and by keeping up to date with the latest methods and research in the field of physiotherapy. In 2021, she continued her work in private physiotherapy clinics and joined the NYD clinic team in early 2023.

Maja used to be a professional volleyball player. She has also experienced many challenges, obstacles and injuries along the way, which has given her a deep understanding of her patients' needs when rehabilitating from injuries or dealing with acute and chronic pain. Her experience of how to cope with injury and regain function provides patients with a motivating and empathetic environment in which they feel understood and supported on their rehabilitation journey.
